ETE Wetlands Parque da Cidade

The Wetlands Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at Parque da Cidade treats all effluents generated in the gastronomic center, one of the structures that make up Parque da Cidade, the main venue for COP-30 in Belém, Pará state.

The Wetlands WWTP was designed to handle flows of 138 m³/day, with peaks of up to 15 m³/h, equivalent to 1,000 inhabitants or 2,500 employees.

The system consists of preliminary treatment, an equalization tank, a 1,600 m² two-stage vertical wetland, and a chlorination disinfection system.

And nothing more:

- No electromechanical elements in the reactors;

- No structures for dewatering and sludge drying (which occurs on the surface of the reactor itself);

- No sophisticated operational automation and monitoring;

- No need for intensive and specialized labor (the operator only goes to the wastewater treatment plant 2 to 3 times a week to clean the screening and rotate the valves);

- No need for vegetation pruning;

- Low energy consumption (only the consumption of the pumping stations and the equalization tank).

The treated effluents meet the reuse standard.

We were responsible for the development of all projects, the technical monitoring of the work, and the assisted operation of the system.
